Be a Doer

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

The LORD conforms us to the truth by continually confronting us with the truth (the Bible)! When He does, either we accept it as truth or we ignore it.

When we accept the truth from our heavenly FATHER, we can expect His richest blessings, even when we don’t have any reason to expect any blessings at all!

Denying GOD’S Word is an attitude He will not bless. Think about when you heard the Word of GOD being preached last! Did you walk away with that Word heavy on your mind? Or did you simply walk away with no thought of it whatsoever?

We need to let GOD’S truth work its way into our hearts and lives!

James 1:23-24
For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

Let’s ask the LORD in prayer today to refocus our thoughts and help us to be an aggressive listener and to allow the Holy Spirit to cause the Word to penetrate our hearts.

Blessings,

Walking in Darkness

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

The verse for today, written by John, was addressed to believers who already have a relationship with GOD (salvation through YESHUA) but needed a reminder of how to remain in fellowship with Him. Although believers have been made new in MASCHIACH (2 Corinthians 5:17), we are not yet perfect and still can fall into sin, short of GOD’S goodness! We are still human beings living in these fleshly bodies and can fall into temptation to appease the flesh, which invites darkness into our lives.

When this happens, it’s important to understand that you have not lost your salvation but that you have chosen to get out of GOD’S will and veered off to a place of darkness for a time!

Confessing that sin lifts that darkness and restores your peace with your almighty GOD!

1 John 1:5B & 6
God is light, and there is no darkness in Him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth.

Darkness and light can not exist together; so when we fall into sin, let us be quick to repent and turn from that darkness!

Being in right relationship with our heavenly FATHER always radiates the light of His Shalom and Simchat for everyone to see! Then let your light shine!

Spiritual Anchor

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

When turbulent times are upon you, the Word of GOD should be your anchor! In our scripture for today, we find Isaiah’s writings about our source for that hope ( MESSIAH YESHUA).

Here GOD promises us strength, help and protection! Moreover, He gives us two commands: “Do not fear and do not anxiously look about you.”

One of Satan’s successful traps is distraction! He knows that fear can choke faith. He works hard to make unsettling circumstances our focus!

Once our attention is diverted from GOD, and prayer and worship are in lack, then anxiety and doubt have room for growth!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

The emotions of anxiety, fear and doubt don’t belong in a believer’s life! Let’s use the spiritual anchors throughout GOD’S Word to keep us steady in our faith!

Stop and Listen

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

In the Bible, we read stories about GOD speaking to His prophets, and He still speaks to us today the same way! We need to listen for that small, still voice; don’t let the business of life keep us from listening!

The first time He spoke was through the power of the Holy Spirit leading you to salvation, and that is just the beginning!

If we listen carefully, He will call us to sanctification, which means being set apart by Him and for Him to advance His Kingdom. He will continually remind us to use His power and the resources He gave us for the good works He wants us to accomplish (Epheasians 2:10).

Then He calls us to accountability; one day we all will have to give an account of how we used the resources He gave us!

Romans 14:12
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.

Has life become so hectic that GOD’S voice is inaudible ? Let’s give ourselves time to listen by spending time in the Word and in our prayer closet. While living here in this fallen world, we all need our heavenly FATHER ‘S guidance!

Forever and Ever

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

The Book of Revelation may be the most ignored book of the New Testament, simply because it can be difficult to understand. This book has some of the richest descriptions of our LORD Yeshua that Scripture has to offer.

We love the images of Yeshua as a helpless newborn baby, yet we need to remember that is the complete humiliation of God by Himself demonstrating His total compassion for us. It also teaches us about the importance of His death and resurrection, but the story doesn’t end there. Let’s not miss out on the ending!

The apostle John, who wrote the Book of Revelation, was given a dramatic vision of the exalted LORD as He is now in Heaven (our future home)! He sees YESHUA as the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, and the Lord over His CHILDREN in the midst of the lamp stands! All Heaven erupts into praise and worship because MESSIAH is found to be the only one worthy to end this age and set up His righteous Kingdom!

Acts 5:13B
Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.

As believers in MASCHIACH, the Book of Revelation is our future. Let’s picture ourselves in the scene seeing YESHUA as the exalted Lord and Lamb of GOD! As we glimpse at our future, let it elevate our praise and worship to a new level!

Praise our soon-coming King!
