Mission Statement

L’Chaim Messianic Congregation is a Congregation of Jews and non-Jews who believe Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah of Israel. We exist to reach the local, pre‑believing Jewish people with the fact that Scripture is God’s inspired and true Word; that Yeshua is the Risen Messiah of Israel, and that an abiding faith in Him is His only provision for eternal life in Heaven with the Lord.

L’Chaim Messianic Congregation is a New Covenant community of Jews and non-Jews called to be one in the Messiah Yeshua. Our members that are Jewish by birth consider themselves to be “completed Jews”- Jews who have found their Messiah. Our members that were not born into Jewish families have been spiritually “grafted” into the nation of Israel through the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). (See Romans 11:15-28)

Like Ruth in the Holy Scriptures, their hearts say, “Your people will be my people, and your God my God.” (Ruth 1:16)

We rejoice in our freedom to worship the God of Israel within our own culture, traditions, and calendar, with the special joy of knowing God in a personal way through the Messiah Yeshua.

L’Chaim is a congregation of The Alliance Southeast.

Statement of Faith

We believe…

in the One and Only Living God,who is self existent, eternally existing as Abba (Father), Ben (Son), and Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit). He is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He is One God. As it is written “Sh’ma Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad” – “Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One (Unified).”

That, according to the Scriptures, Yeshua (Jesus) was born of a virgin. He is the promised Messiah of Israel and the Redeemer of the entire human race. By His obedient life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, He fulfilled the prophecies in the Tanach that speak of Messiah’s first coming. According to the Scriptures, He will also return.

In the work and presence of the Ruach HaKodesh. He brings forth the fruit of righteousness in the lives of all followers of Messiah. The Ruach HaKodesh also distributes spiritual gifts that lead to the building up and unity of the Body of Believers.

That God created man in His own image, endowing him with a longing for intimate fellowship with Himself.

That man’s disobedience (sin) to God’s revealed will, causes a separation between God and man that leads to spiritual death.

That the ONLY provision God made for reconciling man to Himself is the atoning work of Yeshua through His death on the Roman torture stake (cross). The Father, as evidenced by Yeshua’s bodily resurrection from the grave, accepted the sacrifice.

That all who repent from sin and accept God’s salvation through Yeshua are born again. Salvation is a free gift from God by His chesed (grace), and is received by having faith in Yeshua’s atoning work.

In the Mikvah (immersion) of believers, as commanded by the Scriptures, which symbolizes the death of the “old” person and the rebirth into newness of life.

That those who have placed their trust in Yeshua as Adonai (Lord) are born again. They are born into the family of God, the Body of Messiah. This family includes both Jews and those who are not Jewish. Those not Jewish, being “wild branches”, who have been grafted into “the good olive tree,” along with Jews, being “the natural branches”, who have received the promise of the God of their fathers.

That the Bible, both the Tenach and the Brit Chadashah (New Covenant Scriptures), is the only inspired, authoritative Word of God, which is man’s true foundation of faith, conduct, and eternal life.

That God gave the Torah for moral instruction and righteous living for all generations and reveals God’s plan of salvation. Yeshua did not come to destroy the Torah, but to fulfill it.

That God chose Israel to be a blessing to all nations. The day will come when Israel, as a nation, will accept Messiah Yeshua. According to the scriptures Yeshua will return bodily and the Word of God will then go forth from Zion to establish His worldwide rule from Jerusalem. The Jewish peoples’ return to Eretz Yisrael will be a fulfillment of Biblical prophecy.

In the unity of all believers in Yeshua the Messiah. As followers of Yeshua and as part of the nation of Israel, we embrace our Biblical and cultural Jewish heritage. This is our identity – a witness to the faithfulness of God.
