The night before YESHUA’S crucifixion, He gathered together His disciples to eat a final meal and to be strengthened in fellowship before facing all the agony that was ahead! This meal was a Passover Seder (meaning “order”).
Previously, the Feast’s symbols had only pointed back to the Hebrews’ redemption from Egypt. But that night, YESHUA revealed the Messianic significance of the symbols of bread and wine; His broken body and shed blood!
YESHUA was to become our Passover. As a remembrance of what YESHUA did on the (ROMAN TORTURE STAKE); we partake in “THE SHULCHAN ADONAI” as a reminder of the blood covenant that we have with GOD.
YESHUA is truly our Passover Lamb!
1 Corinthians 5:7
Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
Mark 14:22-24
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.”
Then He took the cup, and when He had given thanks He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. And He said to them, “This is My blood of the ]new covenant, which is shed for many.
Next time we partake in the Shulchan Adonai (Communion), make it a fresh dedication of our lives to the LORD, worshipping Him for being our Savior!
