A Good Attitude

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

In this life, your attitude makes all the difference; it can be your best friend or your worst enemy! Trials and tests will come our way, but how we go through them has a lot to do with their outcome.

Keep in mind we have a very real enemy: Satan! He roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5: 8). But keep in mind Satan can never defeat a person with a good attitude!

As BELIEVERS IN MESSIAH YESHUA,  we should always show others a good attitude because if we claim to be believers in Yeshua, we better know others are watching us. Just because of that, our attitude is very important as witnesses for Messiah.

Our attitude will either draw people to us or push them away! GOD’S Word tells us we are to be the light in a dark world, leading others to Yeshua!

Philippians 2:5
Let this same attitude and purpose and mind be in you which was in Messiah Yeshua.

Next time a situation arrives in your life, take the time to stop and think: “What would Yeshua’s attitude be?”

Why?

Because the world around you is watching to see how a MESSIANIC BELIEVER would handle it!

Choices

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Like many people today, the Israelites in YESHUA’S time believed they were destined for Heaven. They mistakenly thought that to join GOD’S family, good works and an intellectual faith were all that GOD required!

To help us grasp the truth about entering His FATHER’S Kingdom, YESHUA described two roads that lead in opposite directions. One, being a broad road, is where most people travel. It’s the easy journey requiring few commitments with no rules or road signs. On this path, just about anything is acceptable, giving us whatever we desire. But at the end, it delivers nothing of lasting value.

The other road (the narrow one) has a small entrance, which is being reconciled to GOD through faith in MESSIAH. Traveling on this road requires a commitment to the Savior and a lifestyle of dependence, sacrifice & trust!

Matthew 7:13–14
You can enter God’s kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad and it’s gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult; and only a few ever find it.

Destruction or everlasting life: Which will you choose? The journey is up to you.

Expressing Gratitude

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

What motivates us to express gratitude to ABBA THE FATHER? We often  remember to thank Him when something positive happens in our life, but our verse of the day tells us to give thanks in all things, which would include difficult times as well as happier circumstances. That may seem illogical to some of us, but it is not!

Even though life may be difficult, our hope and joy remain because we serve the eternal omniscient, omnipotent GOD of love! We need to remember that our gratitude magnifies the LORD.   He is pleased when we obediently thank Him, even in very difficult times, such as what we have to endure now in this upside down world.

Our thankfulness also reinforces our faith! Recalling His faithfulness in the past equips us to face our future!

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks for this is the will of God in MESSIAH YESHUA for you.

It’s easy to be grateful when we receive something we have desired for a long time. But, GOD wants us to express thanksgiving in everything! Meditate on His goodness, love and care, faithfulness, sovereignty and pure promises, always offering Him thanks in all!

Yes! “PTL!”

In Yeshua’s Name. Amen.

With lots of prayers, love & hugs,

Shalom!

Crossing Over

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

GOD created us all to be in a loving relationship with Him. But there is a gap between a perfect GOD and sinful man! The bridge across that gap is the Lamb of GOD, “YESHUA, our Savior!”

The cross of YESHUA provided the way from alienation to reconciliation (the span across the gulf) to a holy GOD!

YESHUA took the world’s sin upon Himself and underwent the punishment we deserved—for our sake. He gave His precious life because the penalty for sin is death.

Because of GOD’S grace through MESSIAH YESHUA, any person wanting a relationship with ABBA THE FATHER can have it. Believing YESHUA’S blood paid our sin-debt is the only requirement for crossing that bridge debt-free into a new life (relationship) with the maker of this universe (ABBA FATHER GOD)!

2 Corinthians 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through YESHUA MESSIAH, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

Have you crossed over that bridge? But how many of your loved ones and friends are still living in a state of alienation? They need to know there is a bridge to their heavenly FATHER! So if you have crossed it, wouldn’t you be a good guide for them and show them the way?

We all need to have that personal loving relationship with our Maker!

Enjoying Life

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

The good things in life are not the result of material possessions or position held. They are based on one thing—a personal relationship with the Savior of the world, MESSIAH YESHUA!

When our hearts are set on fulfilling our desires rather than His, we experience trouble, heartaches and frustration! Many may say, “I just want to enjoy life, can I do this and also give my life to Yeshua MESSIAH?” Absolutely! In fact, the only way to experience lasting joy and contentment is through an intimate relationship with YESHUA!

Apart from Him there is only emptiness of soul and spirit!

Matthew 6:19-20
“Do not lay up for yourself treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (NKJV)

While the world rushes after material gain and social position, the Word instructs us (believers) to seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness and these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Let’s not risk the greatest opportunity we could ever be given—a personal loving relationship with the GOD of this universe! Wow! Yes! “PTL!”

With lots of prayers🙏🙏, love ❤️ & hugs,

Shalom!
