Amazing Love

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Being loved is a longing in every human being! Today, let’s take a look at what the Word of GOD has to say on love (loving GOD, loving others, and loving ourselves).

Mark 12:29-31
Jesus answered him, “The ]first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

First, we need to know that love is not just something that our heavenly FATHER does, but love is who He is.

1 John 4:8
He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

See, long before we were ever born, GOD loved us. His love is eternal! GOD’S love for us is incomprehensible; it has no beginning and no end and is beyond anything we can imagine!

Therefore, no matter where we have been through or what we have done in the past, His love toward us remains consistent, committed, and unrestrained!

Romans 5:8
But GOD demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners MESSIAH  died for us.

Yes, GOD’S love is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not wait for our lives to straighten out before He loves us!

He proved His love even when we were lost in our sin. (Read John 3:16)

His love is beyond words—-AMAZING LOVE!

Pressing Forward

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

We have an enemy, his name is Satan, and he hates us because we are GOD’S children created in GOD’S image to have fellowship with Him! Satan wants us to always be looking at how far we have fallen, rather than how far we have come! Remember he is a liar and there is no truth in him; he is the father of lies (Ref. John 8:44)! He always wants our focus to be on our past instead of our future and on how far we still have to go, rather than how far we have come!

He wants our minds filled with how many times we fail instead of how many times we have succeeded!

But our heavenly FATHER wants us to focus on our strengths and not our weaknesses, our victories and not our losses, our blessings and not our problems!

Philippians 3:13-14

“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of GOD in MESSIAH YESHUA.”

Let’s keep our eyes focused on YESHUA! And don’t ever believe the lies of our enemy (Satan).

Walking in Authority

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Some Believers are living in defeat simply because they don’t know as believers in YESHUA’S power that GOD has given them authority over every work of the enemy! We don’t have to let the devil push us around because GOD has armed us with His Word!

Because of His Word, we are dangerous to the enemy’s destructive plans! Although ABBA FATHER has given us that authority over Satan, we need to know how to use it! It’s up to us to choose to believe the Word of GOD more than we do our feelings and emotions! GOD has given us power AND authority. So even though the enemy may have power, he doesn’t have the authority unless we give it to him! It’s one thing to have power and another thing to have the authority to use that power!

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall be any means hurt you.

Remember, having authority doesn’t mean that you & I will never experience trials & tribulations! But it does mean that we will come out victoriously on the other side of it.

The Spirit of Truth

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Right before YESHUA ascended into Heaven after His resurrection, He told His disciples He was going to send them the Holy Spirit, also known as the Spirit of Truth. The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Godhead and dwells in the heart of every believer. He is our comforter, counselor, helper, guide, teacher, and advocate!

He is the one that convicts us of sin. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to lead us into all truth. Every time we get off track or go in a wrong direction, it is He who convicts us and brings us back to that place of true right standing with GOD! If we listen to His still small voice, we will live the abundant life GOD intended for us to have!

John 16:13
“However, when He, the Spirit of Truth has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak and He will tell you things to come.”

The Holy Spirit is our guide to the truth of GOD’S Word, and it is always the truth of GOD’S Word that will set us free!

God’s Strength Is Greater

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Most people don’t like to talk about their weaknesses! But in today’s verse we find the Apostle Paul boasting in his weakness. Why would Paul do that? Because he knew that GOD’S strength was great in the midst of his infirmity.

We all have weak areas in our lives. We need to never rely on our own strength, but in prayer,  ask GOO to give us His strength in our weaknesses. When we cry out to Abba FATHER, He is more than willing to give us the strength we need. His grace (unmerited favor ) is always more than sufficient to see us through.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly, I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Yeshua may rest upon me.

May GOD’S power be made perfect in your weakness today!
