Being Still

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Temptation, trials and suffering – we’ve all experienced them! Even as Messianic believers (sometimes, specifically because we are believers), we must endure pain, whether through loss, bankruptcy, unemployment or broken relationships!

While no one is immune to hard times, believers are empowered through the Holy Spirit to endure them. Our verse today tells us to “be still” and know who GOD is! This indicates that our best response to disappointment is to trust in the LORD! When troubles come (and they will come), it’s real easy to get caught up in our emotions, but we need to be wise in the Word of GOD and learn to be still and wait on the One who can work it all out for our good (Rom. 8:28), check it out.

{Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God and I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth… }

While on this earth, troubles won’t ever vanish (John 16:33). But, when storms are brewing on the horizon, buckle up and trust GOD to guide you through!

God’s Strength is Greater

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Most people don’t like to talk about their weaknesses! But in today’s verse, we find the apostle Paul boasting in his weakness. Why would Paul do that? Because he knew that GOD’S strength was great in the midst of his infirmity.

We all have weak areas in our lives. We need to never rely on our own strength but in prayer ask ABBA to give us His strength in our weaknesses! When we cry out to Him, He is more than willing to give us the strength we need. His grace (unmerited favor) is always more than sufficient to see us through!

(2 Corinthians 12:9… And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Messiah may rest upon me.)

May GOD’S power be made perfect in your weakness today! Praise His mighty Name!

Lighting Our Path

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

We are to trust the Bible’s accuracy! It is meant to have a positive influence on our conversation, conduct, and character.

When on the earth, Yeshua, the son of GOD, affirmed the validity of the Old Testament by using it! After His resurrection, He explained what Moses and the prophets said about Him (Luke 24:27). Then He promised the disciples that the Ruach Hakodesh would enlighten their minds and jog their memories (John 14:26). This ensured the New Testament’s accuracy!

Like a well that never runs dry, the Bible offers a fresh taste of living water each time we open it. We could only skim its surface even by reading it in one’s lifetime! Over time, various leaders have tried in vain to destroy it or restrict access to it!

(Psalm 119:105…Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path… )

The Scriptures are the LORD’S way of revealing Himself to humanity. Even though throughout history, there have been many that tried to destroy its meaning, it is still the most loved book in the world and keeps winning hearts to MESSIAH YESHUA! Is it lighting your path today?

Encouraging Others

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

One of the easiest ways to express love to others is to help them feel valuable. Stop to think; most people we know do not have a sense of their infinite value as a child of GOD. The thought that GOD loves them and sees them as precious has never entered their minds.

Satan works overtime making people feel devalued and worthless, but we can help remove those lies by building people up and encouraging them. One way to do this is with a sincere compliment. Nothing major; just a little remark, like “I value our friendship or you look so pretty today or I love your smile!” How meaningful that can be to someone. A little bit of love and caring goes a long way!

Romans14:19
“Therefore, let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another… ”

This act of edification isn’t time-consuming or costly, but is so valuable to the building up of GOD’S creation
(you & I).

Reach out today, encouraging someone and spread the love of Yeshua; it only takes a minute!

Transformation – Amazing to Behold!

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

I would like to share a thought – ESPECIALLY with regards to the times we are presently living in:

When people apply the teachings of the Bible to their lives, they change. They are transformed into Godly people. It’s amazing to behold! And the secret of the power of scripture is that fact, that it tells us how to come to know God personally, how to have Him actually walk through life with us just as He did with the first human beings on this planet earth.

In fact, scripture has the power required to take a life that has been lived all wrong and turn it around. This Bible contains the power to help anyone start over; it has the power to enable a person to be re-born. You know, if I had to summarize my belief about the nature of this Book of books, I would say it is basically an invitation from God to us, an invitation from Creator to Creation. In these pages is God’s written offer to know Him personally, to walk with Him daily. And, like all invitations, God’s word calls for our response!

We praise the LORD Yeshua for you, our faithful Prayer and Ministry Partner(s), as we always seek to serve Him with His direction, strength and wisdom. May the LORD bless and use you, too, in every way, every day. Yes, in Yeshua’s Name. Amen.

With thanks and love,
