Spiritual Nourishment

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation Lake Worth Florida. Pastor Bruce and Suzi Elman

It is known that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It starts our day off right with the fuel our bodies need!

Now, what about our hearts and minds? They also need fuel for our day.

We can fill each new day by beginning it with time set aside for our fellowship (prayer) and meditation on GOD’S Word. This is our spiritual nourishment!

Our Scripture today tells us David sought the LORD early each day with a yearning in his soul for GOD’S presence. Then he broke out with thanksgiving and praised the One who created him.

By setting aside time early in our day to get in GOD’S presence, talking to Him, and letting Him speak to us through His precious Word, we will find ourselves through the day filled with the joy of the LORD! Our hearts will be filled with gratitude and praise, just like King David.

Psalm 63:1
O God, You are my God, early will I seek you. May soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water.

Seeking the LORD early in our day not only nourishes our empty souls, it also increases our hunger for more of Him. As we stay mindful of Him throughout the day, we will enjoy greater and richer blessings!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Noise & Busyness

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation Lake Worth Florida. Pastor Bruce and Suzi Elman

Have you ever wondered what impulse makes people want to break the silence of entering a quiet home by putting on the TV or radio?

These sounds are a temporary need to not feel alone!

GOD desires an intimate relationship with each person, so He created us with a yearning for His presence!

Though He alone can fill that void, people attempt to satisfy their longing with everything else (relationships, activities, etc.). But filling that spot with anything other than the LORD is a short-term solution! The Bible urges us to stop our frenzied search for satisfaction in what the world offers and instead recognize that we should turn to YESHUA!

Yet, so many of us pursue substitutes for His presence (friends, hobbies and busy schedules). We gobble up our time and leave nothing available to spend quiet time with the LORD!

Psalm 42:1
As the deer pants for the water brooks so pants my soul for you, O Lord.

Nothing besides the LORD can adequately fill the spot in our life that GOD has assigned for Himself!

All that noise and busyness will only satisfy for a little while. Let’s give GOD the time that is due Him as our Creator who loves us unconditionally.

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Bright Future

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation Lake Worth Florida. Pastor Bruce and Suzi Elman

People who have a sad past need to be able to believe in a bright future! It’s all about vision. Let’s ask ourselves today, “Do I have vision?”

Vision is something we see in our minds (a mental sight). It may be something GOD plants in us supernaturally (through the Holy Spirit) or something we see on purpose. It involves the way we think about our past, future and ourselves.

Don’t be afraid of believing because you don’t want to be disappointed; it doesn’t cost us anything to believe!

Ask GOD for a vision to pursue, and believe that something good is going to happen. Remember whatever we want to do, we can accomplish through MESSIAH YESHUA.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Messiah who strengthens me.

Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision (no redemptive revelation of God), the people perish; but he who keeps the law, blessed is he.

Today, let’s allow GOD’S redemptive revelation lead us away from the dead ends of life and give us a vision for a bright future.

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Take Time to Listen

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation Lake Worth Florida. Pastor Bruce and Suzi Elman

If you have never experienced the presence of GOD, you may wonder how He reveals Himself to believers.

He has many different ways of reaching out to His children (followers of  YESHUA).

First, GOD can speak to you. I have not often heard the LORD’S audible voice, but I have experienced Him loud and clear speaking to my heart. It was unmistakable through the power of the Holy Spirit who lives inside!

Second, GOD makes His presence known through His Word. When you take time to meditate and study the Bible, His Word will speak specifically to your heart! And when this happens, you will know you are in His presence!

Psalm 16:7 & 8
I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; my heart also instructs me in the night’s seasons. I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved!

Our Heavenly FATHER is real and present in this world, and HE wants to share Himself with you to bring you contentment and joy!

Are you willing to take time to listen to what He is saying to you?

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Anything Is Possible

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Continuing on with our battle over the flesh, we absolutely need to be feeding our spirits every single day, which means spending time in prayer and in the Word of GOD. As a result, we will learn to think like GOD thinks and say what GOD says!

Instead of thinking and talking about how bad things have been and are presently, we need to be imitating GOD.

For instance, if you have a loved one who’s never come to YESHUA, to accept Him as Savior, don’t declare, “They will never come to YESHUA. They are a lost cause!”

Instead, declare, “LORD, I know it’s YOUR will my loved one get saved, so I claim their soul for your kingdom. What seems impossible to me, is possible with you (Matt.9:26)!

Let’s not be negative, let’s line our thinking up with GOD’S Word!

Romans 4:17B
God gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.

Get into the Word and write down Scripture that cancels out the negative things you are experiencing. Begin to memorize the promises of GOD and speak them out loud when you feel overwhelmed! Pray and say what GOD’S Word says.

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!
