Power Source

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

The power of the Gospel of YESHUA MESSIAH is Love; nothing else! It is the highest form of spiritual warfare that we can do. One believer, totally committed, dedicated and submitted to the love of GOD will make hell tremble!

Imagine how great our warfare will be with lots of believers acting in love!

So, as believers, let’s go to war on our enemy. Every single one of us needs to decide right now to declare war on selfishness!

  • Let’s declare war on thinking only of ourselves in our families, homes and even in our work place.

  • Let’s announce to Satan and his kingdom of darkness: “I refuse to just live for me and be a selfish, self-centered person!”

  • Let’s declare that the love of GOD that is inside of us will shower upon others today everywhere we go.

Romans 12:21
Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good.

Start today, living with purpose, and show the love of MESSIAH on purpose everywhere we go.

Start by getting yourself off your mind and putting others first. Be willing to give yourself as a sacrifice, and start really loving people!

Attitude Adjustments

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

In a previous blog (“A Good Attitude” click here), we learned the importance of a good attitude, showing others YESHUA.

Today we will see that there is power in keeping a good attitude!

A good attitude helps us to keep our focus in the right place—on GOD and not on the problem.

A positive attitude with any situation that comes our way will give us the confidence that GOD will work it all out for our good and for His glory.

If we choose to keep a positive attitude, GOD can cause the things our enemy (satan) has meant for harm in our lives to work out not only for our good but also for the good of many other people. There are lots of hurting people in our fallen world that need YESHUA!

GOD is looking for experienced workers (those who have gone through stuff already) to work for His Kingdom.

Ephesians 4:23
And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind (having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude).

Attitudes begin in the mind. Our minds are renewed by the Word of GOD. Start today to meditate on the Word, and begin renewing your mind on a daily basis. And see the attitude adjustment begin!

A Good Attitude

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

In this life, your attitude makes all the difference; it can be your best friend or your worst enemy! Trials and tests will come our way, but how we go through them has a lot to do with their outcome.

Keep in mind we have a very real enemy: Satan! He roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5: 8). But keep in mind Satan can never defeat a person with a good attitude!

As BELIEVERS IN MESSIAH YESHUA,  we should always show others a good attitude because if we claim to be believers in Yeshua, we better know others are watching us. Just because of that, our attitude is very important as witnesses for Messiah.

Our attitude will either draw people to us or push them away! GOD’S Word tells us we are to be the light in a dark world, leading others to Yeshua!

Philippians 2:5
Let this same attitude and purpose and mind be in you which was in Messiah Yeshua.

Next time a situation arrives in your life, take the time to stop and think: “What would Yeshua’s attitude be?”

Why?

Because the world around you is watching to see how a MESSIANIC BELIEVER would handle it!

An Act of Love

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Forgiving those who have wronged us is a tough command to follow. Our human nature finds it easier and more satisfying to hold onto our anger. But as followers of Messiah, we are to be vessels of GOD’S love and no longer living according to the impulses of our flesh!

When someone mistreats us, the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, leads us not only to forgive but also to show love to that person.

As we read our scripture today, it is a mandate from YESHUA that we are to love our enemies! He is our greatest example. He had to face religious leaders who deliberately provoked Him, yet at the cross He sought ABBA’S forgiveness for them.

Matthew 5:44
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

Yes, people will wrong us, however, if we have the love of the FATHER living in us, then we will refuse to be provoked and will let go of all bitterness and forgive them with love!

Encouraging Others

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

One of the easiest ways to express love to others is to help them feel valuable. Stop to think, most people we know do not have a sense of their infinite value as a child of GOD! The thought that GOD loves them and sees them as precious has never entered their minds.

Satan works overtime making people feel devalued and worthless, but we can help remove those lies by building people up and encouraging them!

One way to do this is with a sincere compliment. Nothing major, just a little remark like: I value our friendship or you look so pretty today or I love your smile!

How meaningful that can be to someone. A little bit of love and care goes a long way!

Rom. 14:19
Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

This act of edification isn’t time consuming or costly but is so valuable to the building up of GOD’S creation ( you & me)!

Reach out today and spread the love of YESHUA; encourage someone. It only takes a minute!
