We were created to love the LORD and be loved by Him. Anything that competes for our devotion simply doesn’t fit our life’s purpose! 

We need to keep in our spirit that the most important mission of our life here on this earth is to love our GOD with all our heart, soul, strength and mind!

Without complete devotion to Him, we would pursue our own interests and neglect godly principles and godly goals. 

No idol, whether it is an individual, dream or an item is not worthy of our worship! GOD hates idols of every kind because He knows anything that draws our attention away from Him is dangerous. It is a sure way to stumble in this life and end up ensnared in sin and lose our blessings!

Matthew 22:37
YESHUA said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind.”

We serve a holy and just GOD, whose deep love for mankind moved Him to send His only begotten Son, YESHUA, to die in our place! He deserves and demands our total loyalty and surrender!

I was reading in Hebrews 11 about Abraham offering up his only son and that God COULD HAVE raised him from the dead (v 19), but ultimately, He didn’t need to. However, when it came time for HIM to offer up His only begotten Son, the deed was completed, and He actually DID resurrect! Another amazing foreshadowing and symbol of what God was planning to do for us “in the full.”

God’s Master Plan

We were all created by our LORD to be a unique creation! GOD did this on purpose. And just like He created the sun, moon and stars to be in their own glory, we were created differently for the glory of GOD! 

See, each of us meets a need for GOD’S overall plan. Each one of us fits into a part of that plan. What an awesome GOD we serve. And if we look at others, what they are doing and struggle to try to be and do what they are and do, we actually will grieve the Holy Spirit. (He dwells inside us after salvation.) 

GOD wants us to all do our part as we fit into His master plan, and because of that, we were all born uniquely! And our goal is to discover what we are supposed to do as an individual in this plan and then work at succeeding in it, using our own gifts and talents. 

1 Corinthians 15:41
There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

Let’s offer thanks to GOD today for the gifts He has put in us. Let’s use these gifts to bless others as it gives glory to Him, our ABBA FATHER!

A Prophetic Song “Over the Rainbow”

Did you know that “Over the Rainbow” was not written about the mythical Land of Oz?

“Over the Rainbow” was written about the homeland of the Jews, which is Israel!

The lyrics were written by Yip Harburg, the youngest of four children born to Russian-Jewish immigrants. His real name was Isidore Hochberg, and he grew up in a Yiddish-speaking, Orthodox Jewish home in New York.

The song’s music was written by Harold Arlen, also a cantor’s son. His real name was Hyman Arluck, and his parents were from Lithuania.

Together, Hochberg and Arluck wrote “Over the Rainbow,” which was voted the 20th century’s SONG OF THE CENTURY by the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Endowment for the Arts.

In writing it, the two men reached deep into their immigrant Jewish consciousness—framed by the pogroms of the past and the Holocaust about to happen—and wrote an unforgettable melody set to near prophetic words.

“And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.”

We at L’Chaim commemorate “Holocaust Remembrance Day” each year, and we declare, “We Remember.”

And we honor those that dreamed of “the land that they heard once in a lullaby,” those that never saw the Promised Land, and those who rose from the ashes to make the dream a reality.

The Peace of God

Are you at peace today?

Nothing is worth anything if you don’t have peace! Even having great wealth is no good without peace! You cannot put a price on the value of peace. You can spend your whole life trying to climb the ladder of success and it could consume you with pressure, stress and rob you of your peace, joy and time that should be spent with your family.

We are never truly successful unless we have peace. Peace comes from knowing who we are in MESSIAH YESHUA (the Prince of Peace) and having the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding

Philippians 4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.                                    

Romans 14:17
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

GOD wants to see us (His children) having our needs met and blessed in abundance and being in a position to bless others! But ABBA  never wants it to be a cost of exchanging our peace for it. Seek the prefect peace of GOD in all you do, and always refuse to live without it!
