Stop and Listen

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

In the Word, we read stories about GOD speaking to His prophets, and He still speaks to us today the same way! We need to listen for that small, still voice; don’t let the busyness of this life keep you from hearing from Him.

The first time He spoke was through the power of the RUACH HAKODESH (Holy Spirit) leading us into salvation. That was just the beginning! If we listen carefully, He will call us to sanctification (being set apart by Him and for Him). He will continually remind us to use His power and resources so we can obey and live righteously.

Then He calls us to service, giving us abilities, time, and resources for the good works He wants us to accomplish for His Kingdom.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship—created in Messiah Yeshua for good deeds, which God prepared beforehand so we might walk in them.

Then He calls us to accountability. One day, we will have to give an account of how we used the resources He gave us!

Romans 14:12
So then each of us shall give an account of himself to God.

Has life become so hectic that GOD’S voice is inaudible? Especially with all the craziness of today, we need more than ever to give ourselves time to hear GOD speaking to us through His Word and in our prayer closets! During this time on Earth, we all need guidance and wisdom from above!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Forever and Ever

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

The book of Revelation may be the most ignored book of the New Testament, simply because it can be difficult to understand.  Revelation has some of the richest descriptions of our LORD Yeshua that the Bible has to offer!

We love seeing Him as a baby in a manger, and of course, the importance of His death and resurrection, but the story doesn’t end there.

Let’s not miss out on the ending of the story!

The apostle John, who was given the book of Revelation by the Holy Spirit, was given a dramatic vision of the exalted LORD as He is now in Heaven. He saw Yeshua as the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, and the Lord of His church in the midst of the lampstands.  All Heaven erupts into praise and worship because Messiah Yeshua is found to be the only one worthy to end the age and set up His righteous Kingdom!

Revelation 5:13c
Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the One sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever.

If you are a believer in Messiah Yeshua, as you read Revelation, you are then reading about your future! Picture yourself in the scene, seeing Yeshua as the exalted LORD and Lamb of GOD! Let this glimpse of your future elevate your praise and worship to a new level! Yes! PTL!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Our Soon Coming King

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Check out Revelation 19:11-16. We see YESHUA exalted as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. These verses tell us He is returning to Earth first to rescue His people (believers) and then to judge the wicked and set up His Kingdom. We see YESHUA riding His white horse in power and great glory! So different from His first arrival as a helpless baby!

Our King is not coming alone; the armies of Heaven (which is the Bride of MESSIAH—His children) are following Him on white horses too.

If you are a believer, you will be in this heavenly army. Revelation 5:10 promises us we are going to rule and reign with Him. Yes, we will reign one day soon with MESSIAH, but till then He rules in the heart of each believer! Only through submission and obedience to HIS authority will we be transformed into His image and live a new life forever with Him in His new Kingdom.

Revelation 19:16
On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “King of Kings and Lord of Lords.” (TLV)

Who is the king of your life? Are you letting MESSIAH YESHUA direct your path? Only by living under His authority can we know the purpose and plan GOD has for us while on this earth. May His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth in each of our hearts!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Why Worry

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Are you a worrier? Well, it does absolutely no good! Worrying doesn’t change one thing, and we waste time by being upset over stuff we can’t do anything about—things only GOD can change. And He’s not going to change them until we put our trust in Him instead of our flesh! Everything is always in GOD’S perfect timing.

The Word tells us we can’t add a single moment to our life by worrying.

“And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” Matthew 6:27

Yet, we still insist on worrying, which gets us nowhere.

When we get upset over our circumstances, it takes a lot of emotional energy while wearing us out! It can even affect our health, causing lots of physical problems while stealing our joy, and all the while it still doesn’t change a thing!

“Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made to God.” Philippians 4:6

We need to stop trying to fix things that only GOD can fix because the only one who will be clapping is the devil!

Pray about it, and then by faith, wait for GOD’S perfect timing! Luv, JC

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Spiritual Anchor

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

These are by far challenging and uncertain times; the Word of GOD should be your anchor to get through. And in our verse of the day, we find Isaiah writing about our source of hope, which is MESSIAH YESHUA.

Here GOD promises us strength, help and protection. Moreover, He gives two commands: “Do not fear, and do not be anxiously looking around you.” One of Satan’s successful traps is distraction!  He knows that fear can choke faith!  He works hard to make unsettling circumstances our focus! Once our attention is diverted from GOD, then prayer and worship are in short supply, and then anxiety and doubt have room for growth!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The emotions of anxiety and doubt don’t belong in a believer’s life! Let’s use the spiritual anchors found in GOD’S Word to keep us steady in our faith.

With lots of prayers & love, Shalom!
