In God’s Hands

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Did you ever go to your heavenly FATHER in prayer and then turn away and start to worry about what you prayed for?

When we pray and then worry, we are not exercising trust in Him!

When we insist upon keeping our hands on the situation we are praying about and not letting GOD have them completely, He doesn’t have much freedom to answer that prayer!

Worry is meditating on our problems, but we are told to meditate on GOD’S Word not our problems!

The opposite of worry and anxiety is peace. And if we are going to live in peace, we need to learn how to live our lives one day at a time. Don’t spend today worrying about tomorrow, as YESHUA tells us in the following Scripture.

Matthew 6:34
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Just as each day has its own trouble, each day has its own supply of grace!

GOD does not give us grace today for tomorrow! Let’s refuse to be anxious about tomorrow and be determined to leave our prayers in GOD’S hands. Trust that He knows what’s best for you, and He will bring it to pass!

Glory be to GOD!

Simply Pray

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

It may sound simple, but it is true—our prayers are not answered when we do not pray! Just as our Scripture of today states, we have to ask for what we need and want!

“We have not because we ask not!”

Sometimes we work on our situations in our thoughts; we discuss them with our family, friends and wish and hope for them! But all that is not prayer!

Prayer is talking to our heavenly FATHER knowing that He is there to listen. When we bring our concerns to Him “in the name of YESHUA,” we are depending on Him and not ourselves.

He is always there waiting to hear from us coming to Him in faith, knowing that He is ready and able to act on our behalf! His love for us is unconditional, and He desires to bless us beyond measure. But until we come to Him in prayer, His hands are tied!

James 4:2B
You do not have, because you do not ask.

Open the door for GOD to intervene in your situation with your prayers. Don’t ever let prayerlessness hinder GOD from working in your life and in the lives of your loved ones. “SIMPLY PRAY!”

Guilt & Condemnation

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

If there is anything that will stop the flow of fellowship (prayer with our Creator), it’s guilt and condemnation!

Think about it. When you do something wrong and you don’t deal with it the way GOD wants you to, you feel guilty and condemned. Then we often retreat and separate ourselves from our heavenly FATHER, not feeling worthy to enter His presence in prayer.

What do we do? We must repent; turn from our sin, and then our flow of fellowship with ABBA FATHER  will be fully restored!

Make no mistake, as believers, we are in MESSIAH, and nothing can separate us from GOD’S love (Romans 8:38)! The gift of repentance is such a blessing, and it keeps on giving; we can use it everyday. YESHUA provided it all for us on Calvary!

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in MESSIAH YESHUA who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

All that GOD is and all that GOD has is ours in MESSIAH YESHUA . Don’t let guilt and condemnation keep you from your privilege of prayer!

Remedy for fear

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

We all need a heart revelation of GOD’S true love for us! We can’t just know in our head that GOD loves us. It must become a life-changing heart revelation!

Through this revelation, we can have freedom from fear. When our circumstances are good, it’s not hard to believe GOD loves us. But when things turn for the worst, we are tempted to think He doesn’t care!

Then fear comes against our mind and attempts to rob us of our faith. And Satan will do his best to assure us that GOD’S love isn’t there for us. He’ll plant lies in our minds; “You must have done something wrong, or GOD’S mad at you now!”

When we have a heart revelation of GOD’S perfect love, there is nothing in the world that can make us afraid!

1 John 4:18
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.

It is impossible to fear failure, rejection, lack or anything else if you really know GOD loves you; His love covers everything!

Walking in Love

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Being a believer can be simple if we summarize it into two things: (1) Concentrate on loving GOD, and (2)  loving people!

Walking in love is not a suggestion from GOD but rather a commandment!

We need to understand our love walk is not optional; it was commanded by YESHUA!

It is all through Scripture, especially in the New Covenant.

We as believers in MESSIAH YESHUA are to abound in love, increase in love and grow in love. We need to get our mind off of ourselves and on to what we can do for others. You will never be happy as long as you are selfish.

In Ephesians 5:2, it says that MESSIAH loved us and gave Himself up for us.

Check it out. This is our example that we should seek to follow—giving up ourselves for others.

John 13:34
A new commandment I give you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

The greatest thing we can learn about love is that not only does it require effort but we also have to do it on purpose!
