Total Surrender

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

As believers following the example of YESHUA, we should persevere in adversity and have confidence in GOD’S promises (His Word) and surrender it all to Him.  If you are a take-charge kind of person, you may find it hard to submit to the LORD! This has been man’s problem since the beginning. Adam and Eve decided to ignore GOD’S warning and did it their way, and look what happened—disaster!

Nothing has changed with us humans. We tend to ignore GOD’S wisdom and knowledge (Bible). Selfishness and pride can make us reluctant to let GOD take charge over our lives. We want to cling to our ideas and dreams, but if we yield to GOD’S control, we position ourselves to live the abundant spiritual life YESHUA died to give us!

Here’s what YESHUA said:

Luke 11:28
But He said, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

Obedience to GOD’S will and ways always brings glory to GOD as well as blessings to us. Surrender is the way to abundance! Won’t you humble yourself before GOD today and relinquish all to Him?

Blessings,

No Condemnation

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

There are many believers today who struggle with guilt and condemnation!

Because of our love for FATHER GOD, we want to do what is right; yet there are times when we walk in the flesh instead of in the Spirit of God! Walking after the flesh is when we depend on ourselves, but walking after the Spirit is depending on Abba the Father!

We make mistakes, sin, make wrong choices; and when this happens, we need to quickly repent (turn from our sin)! Then once we have repented and have asked GOD for forgiveness, we need to let go of any burdens of condemnation.

YESHUA delivered us from both iniquity and guilt (by way of the cross)! After we ask GOD for that forgiveness, He not only forgives but also forgets. (Our sins are as far as the east is from the west!)

Rom. 8:1-4 (TLV)
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Messiah Yeshua. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Messiah Yeshua has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what was impossible for the Torah—since it was weakened on account of the flesh—God has done. Sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as a sin offering, He condemned sin in the flesh— 4 so that the requirement of the Torah might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Ruach.

When Satan comes against you with condemnation; quote Romans 8:1 right back at him! Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Messiah Yeshua

This Scripture is your weapon of warfare against the accuser of the brethren.

Revelation 12:10
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Anointed One, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters—the one who accuses them before our God day and night[b]—has been thrown out.

Wisdom—Our Friend

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Wisdom will always lead you to GOD’S best! Wisdom teaches that you will not keep friends if they try to control and dominate your life!

Wisdom will guide you in your money matters.

Using wisdom keeps you out of debt. Wisdom will not let you get over extended in your commitments.

Wisdom says we need to take time and wait on GOD to give us peace about what we are to do or not to do.

Yes, wisdom is certainly our friend; it helps us not live in regret! The saddest thing in the world would be to reach old age and look back at your life and feel nothing but regret about what you did or did not do!

Proverbs 4:5-6
Get wisdom; develop good judgment.
Don’t forget my words or turn away from them.

Don’t turn your back on wisdom, for she will protect you.
Love her, and she will guard you.

Ponder this thought for today; godly wisdom will help us make choices now that we will be happy with later.

Blessings,

Rock-Solid Self-Image

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Emotional needs can be every bit as acute as bodily needs! The desire for love, acceptance and a sense of safety were instilled in us by the LORD. These necessities are what cause us to seek out friendships, marriages, and ultimately, a relationship with our heavenly FATHER.

And at the root of all our heart needs is the longing to feel valued!

Without a solid sense of self-worth, we can’t fully receive love and acceptance. We can’t feel safe or at rest. We turn to loved ones and friends for the proving of our value through verbal assurance or displays of loyalty. But this doesn’t work! Why? Other people’s judgements and acts of love make for a yo-yo-like self-image; it will be up and then down.

But, on the cross, YESHUA gave us the only accurate assurance of our significance in this world.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, MESSIAH died for us.

A rock-solid self image is rooted in the recognition of who we are in MESSIAH ! We are His beloved and redeemed children of the Most High GOD!

Fiery Ordeals

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

A Very Blessed day to you from Pastor Bruce & Suzi!

Being a believer in Messiah Yeshua isn’t always easy. In fact, sometimes we’ll experience trials that truly test our faith and ability to trust in GOD.

In today’s Scripture, Peter refers to times of testing as “fiery ordeals”! He says we shouldn’t be surprised when hardships come our way.

It’s important to remember that GOD has a purpose for our trials and will see us through each step of the way.   Sometimes, our heavenly FATHER uses painful experiences to cleanse and purify us, His children.

See, trials are to drive us closer to God, and we can begin to focus more on Him and start to see things from His perspective!  He also uses them to strengthen our faith and our devotion to Him.

1 Peter 4:12
eloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you.

In the midst of adversity, we might feel overwhelmed and discouraged. But once the storm has passed, we can often look back and see that the LORD’S providential hand carried us through.

Oh, indeed, yes! “PTL!”

In Yeshua’s Name. Amen.

With lots of prayers & love, shalom!
