Our Supply Source

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Paul taught us a lot about triumphing over adversity (2 Corinthians 1), and even though his culture of that day was quite different from ours, some things remain the same, like temptation, hardship, persecution and sin!

Satan never changes either!

Paul learned to trust the LORD during affliction in the same way we do. He was thrown into high-pressure situations with impossible odds, yet saw GOD triumph!

We understand divine power when we reach the limits of our own strength and see GOD’S supernatural power kick in! We have GOD’S promise that He will meet our needs in every heartache and trial.

Philippians 4:19
And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in MESSIAH YESHUA.

GOD’S strength is available to all believers who in time of need confess their weakness and inadequacy!

Let’s pray:

ABBA, I absolutely cannot; if you don’t, it is simply not going to happen. In YESHUA’S Name, amen!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

A Wise Response

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

A lot of negative emotions accompany hardship, such as  frustration, despair, fear and doubt! When we let these feelings rule us, then we will make poor choices.

In our darkest hour, when troubled times come against us, we need to worship and praise our almighty GOD more than ever. This has been a time such as this, as our world as we know it is spinning out of control!  Daily, our praise and worship can fill our hearts with joy and our mind with peace in the midst of it all!

When we are worshiping the LORD, our vision is enlarged; we begin to see how He is at work in our lives, perhaps in ways we never noticed before.  We will see what He is doing in our current situation and where He is requiring obedience!

Deuteronomy. 20:4
For the Lord your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies to save you.

It’s hard to be in despair while honoring the LORD for His love and strength!!

We can get rid of doubt by recalling GOD’S past faithfulness!

Praise is not the obvious reaction to hardship, but it is the wisest response! PTL!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Spiritual Anchor

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

These are by far challenging and uncertain times; the Word of GOD should be your anchor to get through. And in our verse of the day, we find Isaiah writing about our source of hope, which is MESSIAH YESHUA.

Here GOD promises us strength, help and protection. Moreover, He gives two commands: “Do not fear, and do not be anxiously looking around you.” One of Satan’s successful traps is distraction!  He knows that fear can choke faith!  He works hard to make unsettling circumstances our focus! Once our attention is diverted from GOD, then prayer and worship are in short supply, and then anxiety and doubt have room for growth!

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

The emotions of anxiety and doubt don’t belong in a believer’s life! Let’s use the spiritual anchors found in GOD’S Word to keep us steady in our faith.

With lots of prayers & love, Shalom!

Unshakable Faith

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Daniel had unshakable faith. His belief in the LORD substained him when he was uprooted from his home, taken into captivity and sent to a foreign country. His faith gave him strength as he served under four different kings and faced many challenges (Daniel 1:1-20) Check it out!

Knowing GOD and trusting Him are the two key elements of deep faith.

Daniel, while in captivity, wanted to obey the Scriptures that he had hidden in his heart. So, when he was asked to eat food that was sacrificed to idols, he took a great risk by requesting other food.  GOD then caused the officials to show him favor.

Like Daniel, we are to spend our lives learning and carrying out what pleases our heavenly FATHER and not the world!

Colossians 1:10
“…that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Barriers to unshakable faith include pride, self-concerns, arrogance and self-sufficiency!

Are any of these keeping you from becoming a person of strong faith?  If so, then confess it and then turn toward the LORD!

IN YESHUA’s NAME, Amen.

With lots of prayers & love, Shalom!

Seated in Heavenly Places

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

The apostle Paul said that we are seated in heavenly places with Messiah YESHUA as a child of GOD! So what does that mean? What do we do when we sit? We rest, right! So to be seated in heavenly places with YESHUA is to enter an inner rest!

When we get nervous or upset about our problems and worry overtakes us, we need to tell ourselves “to sit down!” And we’re not just talking about our physical body but also our soul (mind, will and emotions)! To me it’s very interesting, how we now have no choice but to sit and rest In this season of being homebound during the Coronavirus pandemic.

It’s important to let our entire being rest and just wait on GOD. We need to wait expectantly for GOD to do what we cannot do! Give Him the steering wheel!

Ephesians 2:4-6

But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loves us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with MESSIAH and raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenly places in MESSIAH YESHUA.

The promises of GOD’S peace are not made to those who work, struggle or strive in their own strength but to those who enter GOD’S rest waiting on Him!

Let’s thank God for this time of REST! It’s necessary and long overdue!

All our love,

Bruce and Suzi Elman
