Stop Hoarding and Start Trusting

If you dig down deep enough, you discover that all our problems are theological. We have a wrong view of God so we act wrongly. We think God is a miser, so we hoard instead of being generous. We think God is stingy. We’re afraid God will bless us a little bit and then He’ll stop.

I’ve never met a man who trusted God too much.

God calls us to stop hoarding and start trusting. To get a new view of His grace and goodness, to catch a glimpse of God’s kindness to us. To see how much God our Father has already done for us in MESSIAH. Having been blessed, He calls us to be a blessing to others. We need not fear that in giving ourselves away, we will later regret it.

Billy Graham said he never met a man who regretted giving his life to MESSIAH. I will only add that I’ve never met a man who said he trusted God too much.

Heavenly Father, forgive us for doubting your goodness. Sometimes we slander your name by hoarding your blessings. Give us a heart like yours. Break our addiction to the things of this world. You have blessed us in so many ways we can’t begin to count them all. Help us to get back in the river of your blessing and to give away gladly what you have given to us.

Prayer

I humble myself before You and confess my sin. Help me to die to self and walk in the victory of the new creation You have provided for me.

I rededicate myself to You wholly. I surrender my will to Your will. I give You back control of my life.

I claim Your promise of forgiveness and cleansing in its fullness. In faith, I receive the victory today that You have already put in place for me.

Help me to seek You first. Let my relationship with You be the most important thing in my life.

I pray for guidance as I listen for Your voice. Let me return to what is most important — You.

Help my attitude to change so that instead of focusing on others and events to meet my needs, I can turn to You and find the love, purpose, and direction I seek.

Thank You for always being faithful and extending Your grace to me constantly, even when I do not realize it.

Thank You, YESHUA, for helping me, loving me, and showing me the way. Thank You for new mercies, for forgiving me.

In the name of YESHUA my Savior, and with a grateful heart, Amen.

Run to the Roman Torture Stake!

So to all of you, life being so uncertain for all of us:

If you want to go heaven, there is one thing you must do.
Run to the cross!
Run to the cross and lay hold of MESSIAH YESHUA!

Put your trust in Him, and when you die, you will close your eyes on earth and open them in heaven.

For those who believe in YESHUA death is not the end of life, it’s the only doorway that leads directly to heaven.

For some of our dearest friends, the battle is over!

Suffering and weakness have been swallowed up in the sunlight of God’s love.

They have gone where sickness cannot reach him, where old age cannot enfeeble them, where the pains of this life cannot assail them.

They are with the Lord forever.

They walked by faith for many years.

Now they walk by sight.

For years they dreamed of heaven.
Now they walk on the streets of gold.

For years they prayed to Yeshua.
Now they see Him face to face.

Our loss is heaven’s gain.

I am glad that heaven is a real place and that our family and friends have gone there. Of that, I have no doubt.

Finally, for all of us:

Let’s thank them for their love.
Thank them for their prayers.

C. S. Lewis remarked that Believers don’t say goodbye; we say, “See you later.”

Rejoice about our loved ones who have gone before us! We will see them ALL again.

Even so, Come, Lord Yeshua! Come soon. It’s in Yeshua’s Name I pray. Amen

Prayer of an Unknown Soldier

Perhaps you’ve read this prayer written by an unknown soldier from the Civil War.

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve;
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for health, that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.

I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.

I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for all things, that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing I asked for, but everything I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered

I am, among men, most richly blessed.

Life is not a straight line. God’s plan for you and me includes a fair number of detours. The path of life zigs and zags and goes up and down. For a while you feel like you’re going in circles, then one day the clouds lift, and you discover those endless circles were leading you to the top of the mountain.

Don’t Ever Give Up On Anyone

John 4 teaches us YESHUA does his best work with outcasts. He specializes in forgotten people because they are willing to listen to Him. He populates Heaven with earthly rejects.

This means there is hope for people who today think they have fallen so far that YESHUA will not take them. But there is no pit so deep that the love of God is not deeper still.

Don’t ever give up on anyone!
Don’t ever stop praying for sinners!
Don’t ever stop sharing the good news!

1. No one is too sinful to be saved.
2. No one is so lost that the Lord cannot find them.
3. No one who meets YESHUA will ever be the same again.

YESHUA is ready to give you Living Water. It’s free for the asking. Are you ready to receive it?

What a story!
What a MESSIAH
What amazing grace!
