The Greatest Gift of All

Unless you open a gift, the value remains unknown. The same holds true of GOD’S gift of salvation through YESHUA! To receive His forgiveness but fail to discover the marvelous treasures that are available through being a child of GOD would be a shame! 

The sin we inherited through Adam and Eve does not allow a relationship with the perfect GOD; YESHIA came & took our Iniquities upon Himself and endured the death penalty in our place and then rose from the dead! 

This redeemed us for an eternal fellowship with GOD. Mercy instead of punishment is GOD’S free gift for those who believe, which includes an eternal home in Heaven, where we will live forever! That small baby in a manger was truly the greatest gift of all time!

John 3:16
For this is how God loved the world; He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

Do you have a relationship with almighty GOD? 

YESHUA came to redeem you. If you haven’t accepted His gift of salvation, do it now! Admit your need for forgiveness and ask YESHUA into your heart!

The gift is wrapped and ready, waiting for you to open and enjoy all GOD has for you every day of the year!

Tranquil Heart

Is it possible to be at peace when you are facing trying times (examples: your spouse wants a divorce or your young daughter just discovered she is pregnant or you just received a pink slip at work)?

Maybe you have fallen into a deep depression! Yes, GOD’S peace is available no matter how painful and hopeless your situation seems! Peace is not gained by manipulating circumstances. 

It is foolish and unbiblical to think you just have to rearrange your situation a bit to have everything be wonderful.

The only way to a tranquil heart is trusting in the LORD and His ways, no matter how messy life gets. With YESHUA,  we can have peace in spite of our trials!

John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

YESHUA promised peace for those who trust in Him, and He always delivers on everything He promises. Let’s live one day at a time and follow our faith to that divine peace that only GOD can grant us!

Take My Yoke

YESHUA  knows firsthand the difficulties of this life and the heaviness of our burdens. When He left His heavenly home and came to this earth, He experienced it all. Our Savior offers to help us with every difficulty we face.

In today’s passage, we are invited to come to Him and take His yoke upon us and learn from Him. What YESHUA is describing is a lifelong process that entails getting to know Him—His perfect character, His priorities for life, and His plans for us to place ourselves under the yoke of His lordship. 

He promises here that a life of submission to His will fits us well and will provide us with relief from our burdens!

Matthew 11:28-29
Then YESHUA said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls.”

Come to YESHUA. You weren’t meant to carry your burdens alone; just ask and believe, and He will lift the weight!

Bits & Pieces

Even though we live in a fast-paced, stressed-out world, there are no shortcuts for spending time in GOD’S Word and its complete and intended context! We cannot just pull a Scripture out of context and apply it; if we do that, they will generally be misapplied! 

For instance, the apostle Paul did not intend for people to read his letters (Epistles) in bits and pieces! There is a complete message within each Epistle, as is true for every book of the Bible! The problem with bite-sized Scriptures is that if we’re not careful, these verses will be increasingly misapplied. The truth is that “all” Scripture works together to benefit us.

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

By focusing on the Scriptures that make us feel good—Happy Scriptures—we can develop a false sense of contentment and an unsupported personal doctrine (verses mean what we want them to mean rather than what the author intended)!

Spiritual Helper

When YESHUA called His disciples, they immediately dropped everything and followed Him! We might think the MESSIANIC Believer’s life must have been simpler for them than for us. When He taught, they heard His voice, watching His interactions with people; they learned from example! 

Since HE isn’t here anymore, we can’t touch, see, or hear Him in the way they could, but YESHUA  left us a helper (the Holy Spirit ), who He promised would dwell inside us and be our guide! 

The RUACH HAKODESH does for us all the things YESHUA did for His disciples, as He guides our steps. The Spirit teaches us the truths of our heavenly FATHER. He enables us to change from the inside out so we can obey and serve the LORD. The Holy Spirit actually gives us the desire to follow GOD’S will for our lives.

John 16: 13A
However, when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth.

YESHUA  told us in the Word that it was to our advantage that He go away so He could send us our Helper! The more we yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading, the more victory we will have in our spiritual walk.
