Acts of Love

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

As we grow in the LORD, we will make mistakes. As a result, we need to know how to receive GOD’S loving correction. He does this only because He loves us and wants us to know that He cares about what is best for us.

People who struggle most with receiving correction are those who do not know they are truly loved by ABBA the FATHER!

Instead of feeling corrected for their own good, they feel like they are being punished! See, no one can receive GOD’S correction properly without a revelation of His great love!

We may hear the correction and even agree with it, but it will only make us feel condemned or angry unless we know it comes from GOD’S heart of love and will ultimately bring about the change needed in our lives to conform us into the image of His Son.

Hebrews 12:6
For the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He punishes each one He adopts as His child.

Next time the LORD corrects you, remember He is doing it out of love for you as any father would do!

He cherishes you, and you are always in His heart! The correction is simply an act of love!

Life’s Motivations

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Freedom is one of humanity’s most prized possessions! Yet many people are in captivity. You see, we aren’t just physical beings; we are also spiritual.

We can be enslaved spiritually as well as physically.

YESHUA  said that anyone who commits sin is in bondage to it, referring to continuous wrongs that become a lifestyle, even for the believer!

Almost anything—including the pursuit of power, money or relationships—can develop into a pattern of sinful living. Usually ungodly habits begin in a way that seems innocent and fulfills a desire or need.

Overtime, we can become desensitized to any guilt that we might have felt in the beginning. As we sense less conviction by the Holy Spirit, our habit can become comfortable and eventually control us.

John 8:34
Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave to sin.”

Let’s not be deceived by Satan and his schemes; take an honest look at  life’s motivations!

Is there some habit, emotion or dream that owns you?

There is only One who can set us free. His name is YESHUA. Cry out to Him today!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

Faith Factor

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

The Apostle James challenges us to understand the connection between faith and obedience. He writes in James 2:17 that faith without works is dead! In other words, we cannot have the unshakable faith we spoke of yesterday without obedience!

Developing steadfast trust takes time. Yes, we are born-again through simple childlike faith, but a growing knowledge of GOD and a deepening true confidence in Him keeps us convicted and also strengthens our faith in times of testing (trials).

Hebrews Chapter 11 shows us that obedience is critical to steadfast faith! Noah, never seeing rain, obeyed GOD and built the ark! Abraham left his home, his tribe, obeying GOD’S instructions through faith!

Hebrews 11:6A
But without faith it is impossible to please Him.

Knowing and trusting GOD through His Son, YESHUA, experiencing His actual presence and living daily obediently are the two factors needed to develop an unshakable faith!

Let’s go to the Throne Room today and in prayer ask GOD to give you that unshakable faith! Yes! In Yeshua’s Name. Amen

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

No Excuses

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Even though the Bible clearly states that every believer receives a spiritual gift, some nevertheless think they were overlooked. So they go through life as a Messiah Follower refusing to serve.

Others are so busy wishing they had a different ability that they do not use the one given to them by the Holy Spirit! Both of these attitudes are sinful!

GOD has a specific purpose and ministry for every believer! Our spiritual gifts help us fulfill GOD’S master plan. He always has a purpose for handing out our spiritual gifts. We’re to use our gifts for equipping, edifying and encouraging one another (Ephesians. 4:11-13) and for bringing the lost into the Kingdom.

Everyone profits when we do GOD’S work through the power of the Holy Spirit!

1 Peter:4:10
As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Each one of us has important work to do for the Kingdom. We have no excuses for bypassing GOD’S will! Where He has gifted us, He will also provide strength and courage to exercise those gifts!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!

We All Have Choices

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Like many people today, the Israelites in YESHUA’S time believed they were destined for Heaven!

They mistakenly thought that to join GOD’S family, good works and an intellectual faith were all GOD required.

To help us grasp the truth about entering His FATHER’S Kingdom, YESHUA described two roads, which lead in opposite directions. One, being a broad road where most people travel. It’s the easy journey requiring few commitments with no rules or road signs.

On this path, just about anything is acceptable, giving us whatever we desire, but at the end it delivers nothing of lasting value!

The other road (the narrow one) has a small entrance which requires being reconciled to GOD through faith in MESSIAH! Traveling on this road requires a commitment to the Savior and a lifestyle of dependence, sacrifice and trust on Him!

Matthew 7:13-14

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to Hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow, and the road is difficult. And only a few will ever find it.

We all have the choice to choose one or the other: the wide and easy path that leads to destruction OR the narrow path that leads to EVERLASTING LIFE!!

It’s your journey; only you can decide which you will choose!

With lots of prayers & love,

Shalom!
