Win-Win Combination

GOD invites us (His children) to pray because He delights in providing for us and He stands ready to do so. But He wants us to come in faith and ask Him to accomplish His divine plan in our circumstances! Not knowing GOD’S will for our circumstances can hinder the effectiveness of our prayers. 

He says “yes” when our petition is in agreement with His purpose for our life. We need to pray GOD’S Word as much as we can! 

What I mean by that is we need to use a verse, a passage or principle in His Word to back up what we are praying for. If we are unsure what we are praying for is indeed His will, then simply ask GOD to give it to us if it is His divine will to do so and to help us be satisfied with His decision for us!

1 John 5:14

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.

Petitioning GOD with specific prayers by faith, free of doubt and aligned with His will is a win-win combination! This will result in an affirmative answer from GOD every time!

Expecting God’s Goodness

Are you hopeful today? There are many Scriptures that speak of hope, but one of the greatest ones is our verse today. Meditate on our verse, Isaiah 30:18, and see how it will begin to bring you great hope! GOD is saying here that He is actively looking for someone to be good to! Actually, He waits, expects, looks and longs to be gracious to us! 

But He cannot pour out His goodness on anyone who has a negative attitude! He is looking for someone who is expecting His goodness, someone who is on the lookout all the time. He is looking for the person who is full of faith and trust, someone who is eagerly anticipating His gracious gifts. 

Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

GOD wants to be good to you today! Are you ready and waiting with anticipation, filled with faith and trust in Him? If that is you, get ready for an outpouring of His goodness; it’s on the way!

Life of Freedom

GOD’S goal is for us to grow up in Him. He doesn’t want us to stay baby Believers! He wants us to become mature overcomers. Being an overcomer means learning how to walk after the Spirit, not after our flesh! 

As long as we’re letting our flesh rule us, we’re not free. And if we’re not free, we’re not enjoying a life of freedom. 

We must realize that we all have to deal with our flesh for as long as we live. We’re going to have a choice to sow to our flesh or sow to our spirit!

We’re never going to become so spiritual that our flesh never gives us trouble. The flesh will always want control! However, if we submit ourselves to GOD daily, He will break the power of our flesh and change us!

Romans 13:14
But put on the Lord YESHUA and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

We cannot defeat the flesh with the power of the flesh. But by yielding to the power of GOD’S Spirit, we can live dead to sin and alive in MESSIAH and then enjoying the life of freedom YESHUA died to give us!

Nourishing Our Spirit

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Following after our flesh is a dangerous and deadly way to live. But on the other hand, following and sowing to our spirit makes life’s journey an enjoyable one! This doesn’t mean we will never have problems and trials or that all the pressures of everyday living will go away! It just means we will have GOD’S grace in our life to help us live as overcomers. We’ll be able to be stable in the midst of life’s storms. (YESHUA will be our rock!) 

As believers in MESSIAH YESHUA, it’s important to realize that GOD’S Spirit dwells in us, but that doesn’t mean our flesh is dead or that sin is dead! They are not! 

Our verse today explains we can live as though we’re dead to sin! It’s done by starving our flesh and feeding our spirit! 

Romans 6:11-12
So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to GOD through MESSIAH YESHUA. Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires.

Let’s start nourishing our Spirit today and every day by meditating on GOD’S Word and fellowshipping with our King of Kings! Let our spirit keep our flesh in its proper place, crucified with MESSIAH! 

Read Galatians 2:20.

Matthew 11:28 The Passion Translation  

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis.”

The Lord says: Lift your attention to My love. Fasten yourself to eternity and remain there. Don’t lower your gaze to your situations. Every time the enemy throws a situation in your face that stirs your anxiety, resist him. Choose to lift your attention to My love, My faithfulness, and My goodness. I know you’re trying to stay at peace. I hear your cry for My help; I’ve already given it to you.   Beloved, I’m not only with you, I’m alive inside of you. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, heavy, and stressed, it’s not because you don’t have the ability to shake it off. It’s because you haven’t fully released this problem to Me. You’re not totally trusting Me yet. You know Me. You know My love. You know I’m all powerful. But you’re believing the lie that I won’t come through. You’re believing that weight is too much for you, more than you believe that I will carry the burden for you. I know it’s been a long time of waiting, but you don’t see the whole picture. The days will pass anyway, so instead of spending them in worry, spend them getting to know Me better. Spend them enjoying every ounce of good that the day gives you.
