A Matter of Trust

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Do you find yourself asking GOD what He is doing in your life and in your walk with Him, not understanding? Well, if we always understood we would have no need for trust!

You may find yourself asking questions like, “What does my future hold, or will I ever see my breakthrough?”

We have to learn to trust our heavenly FATHER, especially when we don’t understand His ways or what might be happening in our lives. We need to become comfortable with the unanswered questions. We need to relax and get comfortable trusting and believing GOD—the One who does know.

Make it a habit of trusting! Even if you can only see one step ahead of you, take that step with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and then trust GOD to show you the next one!

ISAIAH 55:8-9
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord, for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. (This is my go-to scripture.)

If your answer is delayed, trust and know GOD’S timing is always perfect. His thoughts and ways are not ours, and His are higher and wiser even when it doesn’t seem to make sense and we don’t understand! Trust the LORD always!

In God’s Hands

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Did you ever go to your heavenly FATHER in prayer and then turn away and start to worry about what you prayed for?

When we pray and then worry, we are not exercising trust in Him!

When we insist upon keeping our hands on the situation we are praying about and not letting GOD have them completely, He doesn’t have much freedom to answer that prayer!

Worry is meditating on our problems, but we are told to meditate on GOD’S Word not our problems!

The opposite of worry and anxiety is peace. And if we are going to live in peace, we need to learn how to live our lives one day at a time. Don’t spend today worrying about tomorrow, as YESHUA tells us in the following Scripture.

Matthew 6:34
So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Just as each day has its own trouble, each day has its own supply of grace!

GOD does not give us grace today for tomorrow! Let’s refuse to be anxious about tomorrow and be determined to leave our prayers in GOD’S hands. Trust that He knows what’s best for you, and He will bring it to pass!

Glory be to GOD!

Stepping Forward

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Faith is so important to our life in Messiah. Without it we can’t please GOD! It is our foundation.

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see!

True belief in MESSIAH is more than something we express verbally; it’s a pathway we follow. Throughout our  life with GOD, our heavenly FATHER takes us on a journey, allowing us to experience a real relationship with Him as we encounter each circumstance. See, GOD has a purpose for everything we encounter. Just as Abraham was told to leave his home and follow GOD’s commands, not knowing where his next step would be; he trusted GOD (stepping forward through faith), even though he didn’t understand. Because of his obedience he became the father of the Jewish nation.

Psalm 119:105

Your Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light and a light to my path.

GOD always shows us the next step forward, and just like Abraham we may not understand, but we need to obey His commands and trust and rest assured that He knows what is best for us!

So step forward in faith and you will see His faithfulness. The GOD we serve is a faithful GOD!
