Finishing with Joy

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Beginning something is easy, but finishing takes courage. In the early stages of something new, we get all excited about it, so we have a lot of emotions to support us. But when the emotions wear off and all that’s left is a lot of hard work and the need for patience, that’s when we find out who really has what it takes to reach a goal and truly succeed.

In GOD’s eyes we aren’t successful if we abandon what He’s called us to do. He wants us to finish and do it with joy! If you have been tempted to give up—don’t!

If you don’t finish the thing you are currently involved in, you will face the same challenges with your next endeavor.

GOD doesn’t promise that finishing everything we start will be easy.   Don’t quit! Rely on GOD’S grace and keep moving toward the finish line until you cross it in victory!

Hebrews 6:11-12
And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

Is there any unfinished business in your life? Let’s encourage ourselves to set goals for finishing and be diligent to reach them!

Yes! In Yeshua’s Name. Amen.

The Riches of His Grace

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Scripture says that YESHUA chose to become poor—leaving Heaven and everything that belonged to Him as GOD’S Son so that we might become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). We read in Ephesians chapter 1 about the riches of His grace, check it out!

We were chosen by GOD Himself; we belong to Him. He gives us a purpose for life, and we are, at the same time, eternally secure (as believers)! We have been given permanent citizenship in GOD’S Kingdom (Heaven), an inheritance that won’t perish (1 Peter 1:4).

Because of our redemption in YESHUA, His death on the stake, satisfying divine justice, our sin debt is marked “paid in full” in GOD’S eyes. And because of our salvation through MESSIAH, we enter into a personal relationship with our heavenly FATHER, and then we become His adopted children.

Ephesians 1:7
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the richest of His grace.

Many of us don’t realize how rich we are. We think in earthy terms (like bank accounts or material possessions) instead of spiritual ones! Our real wealth is found in the spiritual blessings we have been given through MESSIAH YESHUA. We are rich in His grace!

Yeshua’s Way

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

As GOD’S adopted children, we have been given a new purpose – glorifying Him through righteous living. This means changing our plans to adjust to His will and purpose for our lives.

One very important change is with our belief system; as BELIEVERS our thinking should match YESHUA’S way of thinking!

The influence of the world we live in is strong! The world tells us to push ahead of others, take all the credit for our accomplishments and keep material possessions for our own use.

But, the Word tells us the last shall be first (Mark 9:35). GOD is the One who desires our praise (Psalm 96:4) and we are to be generous people. In all our desires and what others may want us to do, the LORD should always take precedence!

{Matthew 16:24… Then YESHUA said to His disciples, if anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me… }

Let’s take inventory, making sure our heavenly FATHER is taking first place in all we do. He wants and desires our full devotion!
