Our Unique Role

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

I don’t know how some in today’s congregations got the false idea that the preacher is a servant and we in the pews are just members! No one is to be a bystander in GOD’s kingdom! All believers are in partnership with the LORD (2 Corinthians 6:1). He chose to work through us to accomplish the Gospel mission on the earth. We are the workers harvesting His fields (Matthew 9:37-38).

GOD gives each believer one or more spiritual gifts to aid in the work for His Kingdom. We are each wired by GOD Himself with the ability to carry out our unique role in His Master Plan. He actually knits those spiritual gifts into our personality and in-born talents to create a useful and effective servant for Kingdom work!  Just to be clear, there is no such thing as an ungifted believer!

1 Corinthians 12:4-6
There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Holy Spirit is the source of them all. There are different kinds of service. But we serve the same Lord. God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.

The RUAH HAKODESH has equipped us with GOD’s awesome power to obey Him in whatever He calls us to do. Especially now in this troubled world, the fields are ripe for harvest, and people are looking for hope. That hope is YESHUA (our Hope of Glory); let’s get busy! Yes! “PTL!”

In Yeshua’s Name.  Amen.

True Happiness

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Ecclesiastes 5:10
He who loves silver will not be satisfied with silver; nor he who loves abundance with increase. This is also vanity.

Happiness—just about every human being wants it! But for most people the happiness they actually experience is fleeting, like the shifting of the wind. Changing circumstances always seem to prevent true happiness from finding a home in their hearts.

So what’s the key to experiencing a life of true happiness? It may not be what you would expect. Is it really having a mountain of material possessions, a nice home or tons of money in the bank?!? As our Scripture of the day tells us, all that is vanity (meaningless)!

True happiness can only be found in humility—living life as a servant of GOD and others.

So what is humility? It is freedom from pride and arrogance, true humbleness of mind, modest estimation of one’s self-worth and a submission to GOD’s divine will!

Let’s look to YESHUA, the greatest example of a servant, always clothing ourselves with humility, getting our minds off of ourselves! GOD will exalt us in due time. Yes!, He will! “PTL!”

In Yeshua’s Name. Amen.

Child of God

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

GOD manifests His love for mankind in many ways, including this beautiful earth filled with the wonders and promise of His care, protection and an offer of eternal life with Him!

GOD’S care of us also shows up through the transformation of His children (we, born again believers) conforming us into the image of YESHUA. (Romans 8:29 our verse for today!)

In the beginning, GOD’S design was to make humanity in His image (Genesis 1:26). But this plan was disrupted when Adam and Eve gave into and fell for the temptation. Everything was lost: all their privileges in the Garden of Eden, but the greatest loss was their likeness to the Creator!

A sinful man and woman can’t look much like a Holy GOD! GOD wasn’t taken by surprise, He provided salvation through His Son for all mankind!

Romans 8:29
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Are you a child of GOD? Like any good father, GOD will be pleased and glorified by a child who resembles Him!

With lots of prayers and true thanksgiving, shalom!

Crossing Over

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

GOD created us all to be in a loving relationship with Him. But there is a gap between a perfect GOD and sinful man! The bridge across that gap is the Lamb of GOD, “YESHUA, our Savior!”

The cross of YESHUA provided the way from alienation to reconciliation (the span across the gulf) to a holy GOD!

YESHUA took the world’s sin upon Himself and underwent the punishment we deserved—for our sake. He gave His precious life because the penalty for sin is death.

Because of GOD’S grace through MESSIAH YESHUA, any person wanting a relationship with ABBA THE FATHER can have it. Believing YESHUA’S blood paid our sin-debt is the only requirement for crossing that bridge debt-free into a new life (relationship) with the maker of this universe (ABBA FATHER GOD)!

2 Corinthians 5:18
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through YESHUA MESSIAH, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.

Have you crossed over that bridge? But how many of your loved ones and friends are still living in a state of alienation? They need to know there is a bridge to their heavenly FATHER! So if you have crossed it, wouldn’t you be a good guide for them and show them the way?

We all need to have that personal loving relationship with our Maker!

Enjoying Life

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

The good things in life are not the result of material possessions or position held. They are based on one thing—a personal relationship with the Savior of the world, MESSIAH YESHUA!

When our hearts are set on fulfilling our desires rather than His, we experience trouble, heartaches and frustration! Many may say, “I just want to enjoy life, can I do this and also give my life to Yeshua MESSIAH?” Absolutely! In fact, the only way to experience lasting joy and contentment is through an intimate relationship with YESHUA!

Apart from Him there is only emptiness of soul and spirit!

Matthew 6:19-20
“Do not lay up for yourself treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.” (NKJV)

While the world rushes after material gain and social position, the Word instructs us (believers) to seek first the Kingdom of GOD and His righteousness and these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

Let’s not risk the greatest opportunity we could ever be given—a personal loving relationship with the GOD of this universe! Wow! Yes! “PTL!”

With lots of prayers🙏🙏, love ❤️ & hugs,
