Walking in Authority

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Some Believers are living in defeat simply because they don’t know as believers in YESHUA’S power that GOD has given them authority over every work of the enemy! We don’t have to let the devil push us around because GOD has armed us with His Word!

Because of His Word, we are dangerous to the enemy’s destructive plans! Although ABBA FATHER has given us that authority over Satan, we need to know how to use it! It’s up to us to choose to believe the Word of GOD more than we do our feelings and emotions! GOD has given us power AND authority. So even though the enemy may have power, he doesn’t have the authority unless we give it to him! It’s one thing to have power and another thing to have the authority to use that power!

Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall be any means hurt you.

Remember, having authority doesn’t mean that you & I will never experience trials & tribulations! But it does mean that we will come out victoriously on the other side of it.

God’s Strength Is Greater

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Most people don’t like to talk about their weaknesses! But in today’s verse we find the Apostle Paul boasting in his weakness. Why would Paul do that? Because he knew that GOD’S strength was great in the midst of his infirmity.

We all have weak areas in our lives. We need to never rely on our own strength, but in prayer,  ask GOO to give us His strength in our weaknesses. When we cry out to Abba FATHER, He is more than willing to give us the strength we need. His grace (unmerited favor ) is always more than sufficient to see us through.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And He said to me, “My Grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, most gladly, I will rather boast in my infirmities that the power of Yeshua may rest upon me.

May GOD’S power be made perfect in your weakness today!

Blessings,

Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Rewards of Waiting

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

In GOD’S Kingdom, waiting on the LORD is always rewarding. We will receive supernatural energy and strength we need for godly living if we wait on GOD’S timetable with our issues.

When we are overburdened with our responsibilities, we could be tempted to get out of step with GOD. He may be telling us to keep a steady pace, but we may start lagging behind. And sometimes our schedules leave us little time to think, so we make quick decisions, pushing ahead of what GOD may want for us.

In either case, we risk becoming weary, operating in our own strength. But patiently waiting on GOD will bring us the physical and emotional energy we need to keep going.

Psalm 33:20
Our soul waits on the LORD. He is our help and our shield.

Our omniscient and omnipotent GOD is always right on time! His delays are never His denials. Won’t you put your trust in His perfect timing today?

Blessings,

Faith: A Gift From God

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Hebrews Chapter 11, known as “the faith chapter,” is truly amazing to read when you’re really, really digesting it. It caused me to marvel at faith—the faith of all those mentioned as well as just in general. Faith is such an integral—one could say most important—element of our relationship with God.

What is faith, really? This chapter in Hebrews starts out describing it as “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).

Later, those “things not seen” seem to point to things like a baby conceived in (very) old age (verse 11), a son, and then a whole people rescued from death (verses 17-19, 28), and most of all the promise from God of an inheritance: a better place…a better way…in essence, the promise of Himself (verses 8, 10, 13-16, 40; Hebrews 12:1-2).

This faith is the belief that all of this is true, and that it is on these things we need to be fixing the eyes of our hearts and minds instead of on earthly things (Colossians 3:1-2). And it’s there that we truly have hope. Actually glorious hope, as long as our gaze can be kept there. Sigh. So many distractions these days. But the most beautiful and glorious (and merciful) thing about faith is is that it’s a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8-9); so if we just receive that gift, and then walk with that gift in us, we are able not only to have our own wonderful (and pleasing to God) relationship with Him (Hebrews 11:6), but we can then also become part of the “great cloud of witnesses” who share Him and His love—this Living Hope—with the world (Hebrews 12:1; Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Peter 1:3; Ephesians 2:10).

In Jesus’s wonderful and precious Name. Amen.

Expecting God’s Goodness

L'Chaim Messianic Congregation, Lake Worth Florida, Palm Beaches

Are you hopeful today? There are many Scriptures that speak of hope, but one of the greatest ones is our verse today. Meditate on our verse, Isaiah 30:18, and see how it will begin to bring you great hope! GOD is saying here that He is actively looking for someone to be good to! Actually, He waits, expects, looks and longs to be gracious to us!

But He cannot pour out His goodness on anyone who has a negative attitude! He is looking for someone who is expecting His goodness, someone who is on the lookout all the time. He is looking for the person who is full of faith and trust, someone who is eagerly anticipating His gracious gifts.

Isaiah 30:18
Therefore the Lord will wait, that He may be gracious to you; and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.

GOD wants to be good to you today! Are you ready and waiting with anticipation, filled with faith and trust in Him? If that is you, get ready for an outpouring of His goodness; it’s on the way!

Blessings,

Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman
