Lack of Confidence

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Because we consider certain emotions and behaviors harmless, we don’t pay much attention to them. In fact we regard some attitudes as “normal!” We just assume everyone feels them from time to time. One good example is discouragement. Some people view discouragement and disappointment as the same thing, but this is a misconception!

Since we cannot have success every time we try something, there is no way to avoid all disappointments in life. But we can avoid all disappointment; it’s a choice we make when we decide whether or not we will allow our times of disappointment to destroy our confidence. That’s exactly what discouragement is—a complete lack of confidence, a feeling of dismay!

Joshua 1:7
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.”

This verse tells us to be strong and courageous. If you are without courage, ask GOD to wipe away your fears and remind you of His mighty power.

Being in Awe

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Being passionate about our life and our purpose begins and continues with being passionate about GOD our FATHER! We should always live in amazement about Him and His ways. Everything that once thrilled us about GOD’S character should continue day by day, filling us with awe of Him and who He is.

So what can we do if the wonder and excellence of who GOD is and what He’s done for us begins to fade?

  🤔

The answer is found in our Scripture today.

2 Timothy 1:6

Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

The apostle Paul is giving instructions to Timothy when he started battling with fear. Paul told him to stir up (rekindle the embers of & keep burning) the gift of GOD (the inner fire) that was in him. It was the gift of faith Paul was talking about.

We have the ability, and it is our responsibility to fan the flames of our faith!! Don’t delay; start today, stir up the fire of passion in your heart for the things of GOD and the awesomeness of who He is: “THE GREAT I AM”!

God’s Best

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

As followers of YESHUA, we are to pray to ABBA when we desire or need something (Philippians 4:6). But sad to say, many of GOD’s children fail to do so.

Why?

Some are “too busy” to take time to pray; others talk to the LORD in a general or mechanical way (memorized prayer) without the genuine heartfelt communication ABBA desires.

MESSIANIC BELIEVERS should come humbly before GOD’s throne bringing requests with a submissive spirit—meaning we are to seek GOD’s will above all else, even above what we think is best because He could have something better in mind!

The Scriptures tells us to approach the throne room with confidence and faith (Hebrews 4:16).

When we pray and seek God’s will (not ours), we should anticipate that He will answer us!

Psalm 145:18

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.

ABBA FATHER desires to pour blessings into the lives of His children. Don’t allow lack of prayer to prevent His best! Go to Him with your needs and wants with confidence and giving Him all praise! Then submit your will to His and see His faithfulness unfold!

Confirming Our Reservation

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Our faith is set apart from every other religion (because ours is relationship, not religion) in the world!

Our verse today is the key (Revelation 3:20) to that. In this verse, a beautiful picture is painted for us of Messiah YESHUA , the Savior of mankind, patiently knocking on the door of our hearts!

In other beliefs, this picture is different; it would be you andI knocking on the door of heaven, trying to get in by our good works!

But in today’s verse, YESHUA is the one who pursues. He stands there knocking, and He keeps on standing there knocking until we come to Him and receive His sacrifice (cross) as an atonement for our sins (past, present, and future). He is the only confirmation for our ticket that we need to our destination (heaven)! We can’t get in without it!

Revelation 3:20

Behold I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him and he with Me.

Is YESHUA standing at the door of your heart right now? Remember the door knob is on your side! YESHUA is a gentleman; He will not force His way into our lives. We must welcome Him; He’s patiently waiting for your invitation. Won’t you let Him in?

Judgment Day

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Hello, dear one(s), from Pastor Bruce & Suzi! 🤗🙏

The last few days we have seen the wonders of heaven in our devotionals (spending eternity with our heavenly FATHER)! Accepting YESHUA as your Savior is our blessed assurance we will make it into heaven! That’s justification!!!👍YESHUA said He is THE ONLY way to the FATHER!

But salvation through MESSIAH is about more than getting into heaven; it’s also about the process of becoming MESSIAH-like while living here on this earth. That’s sanctification.

In fact, on Judgement Day, we all will be asked to give an account for the ways we used our opportunities, abilities and resources! GOD gives us, His children, different types and amounts of His blessings: gifts, strengths, wealth, etc. What matters to GOD, is the way we make use of them.

Are you selfish with them, using them for your own good? Or are you generously using those gifts to serve MESSIAH YESHUA and further His kingdom?!?  We will all be held accountable and will be rewarded for the ways we invested our lives while here on earth!

Oh, heaven will still be our GLORIOUS home! That issue was settled when we came to faith in YESHUA as our LORD & Savior!

2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all stand before MESSIAH to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

This is a very good time to think about all of your blessings and how you are utilizing them for GOD’S praise and glory!  It’s our responsibility to be faithful servants in whatever He calls us to do. Yes!,

In Yeshua’s Name. Amen.

With lots of prayers, love & hugs,

Shalom,

Pastor Bruce & Suzi!
