Adjusting

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Our Abba FATHER desires to be involved in every aspect of our life. He gives clear direction in His Word so that we can understand what His will is for every circumstance we encounter! By walking in the center of GOD’S will, we accomplish that which we were created to do. Inevitably, we also experience life at it’s best!

As imperfect humans, we will not automatically be in GOD’S will, and so we must make an effort to seek His way and live according to Biblical precepts.

GOD is immutable! He is not going to change to suit us. That means we must make whatever adjustments are necessary in order to be obedient to His Word.

Colossians 3:1-2
Since you have been raised to new life with MESSIAH, set your sights on the realities of Heaven, where MESSISH sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of Heaven, not the things of earth.

GOD directs all believers in the way we are to go because He is perfect in all wisdom and knowledge and always knows what is best for us at all times. Only obedient living makes it possible to attain genuine fulfillment!

Source of Strength

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Recently, we took a look at the apostle Paul; continuing on, we as believers would be wise to take on his mindset (1 Corinthians 11:1).

First comes humility; pride cannot hide in the heart of a believer who understands divine mercy.  GOD’S grace is sufficient to save any sinner, and Paul knew that!

Second, Paul never lost sight of how far GOD’S grace had brought him. Through all of his constant turmoil and heartaches, as we see in the book of Acts, Paul kept praising the LORD for the great privilege of serving Him.

Looking at our verse today, Paul never lost sight of his source of strength. Paul desired more of YESHUA and none of himself.

1 Corinthians 15:10A
But by the grace of God I am what I am and His grace toward me was not in vain.

We all need to have the mindset of Paul—to know where our sufficiency comes from—GOD’S mercy and grace! Praise the LORD for all that He has done for us, and then let’s get busy working for the Kingdom of GOD!

Shop in Heaven’s Grocery Store

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

I was walking down life’s highway a long time ago.
One day I saw a sign that read Heaven’s Grocery Store.

As I got a little closer, the door came open wide.
And when I came to myself, I was standing inside.

I saw a host of angels, they were standing everywhere.
And one angel said, “My child shop with care.”

Everything a Believer needed was in that grocery store.
And all you couldn’t carry you could come back the next day for more.

First, I got some patience, love was in the same row.
Further down was understanding, you need that everywhere you go.

I got a box or two of wisdom, a bag or two of faith.
I just couldn’t miss the Holy Spirit for He was all over the place.

I stopped to get some strength and courage to help me run the race.
By then my basket was getting full, but I remembered I needed some grace.

I didn’t forget salvation, for salvation that was free.
So, I tried to get enough of that to save you and me.

Then I started to the counter to pay my grocery bill.
For I thought I had everything to do my Master’s will.

As I went up the aisle, I saw prayer and just to put that in.
For I knew when I stepped outside, I would run right into sin.

Peace and joy were plentiful, they were on the last shelf.
Song and praises were hanging near so I just helped myself.

Then, I said, “Now how much do I owe?”
He just smiled and said, “Just take them everywhere you go.”

How much do I really owe?
He smiled and said, “My child, Yeshua paid your bill a long time ago.”

May this bless you greatly!
It never gets old!

Have a wonderful day!
With lots of prayers & love, shalom!

A Real Enemy

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

1 Peter 5:8

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

If we want to be victorious in our  lives, then we must never forget who our adversary is! The Bible is very clear that our enemy isn’t a single little demon but rather a whole confederacy of evil spirits! How many times in the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John did YESHUA cast out demons? Over and over again we read about Him and His disciples speaking with authority over multiple evil spirits. Why then can we read such accounts and praise GOD for His demonstrations of power and yet forget that those demonic forces are still active in our world today!

The enemy is very busy right now in our current situation with the spread of the Coronavirus, putting panic and fear in much of the world through the help of the media! We need to remember that fear is from the devil. Our GOD has not given us a spirit of fear! We can’t walk in fear and faith at the same time!

This pandemic is a real test for the reality of our faith and the relevance of our doctrines!

Our sovereign GOD is always in control!

Satan lost at the cross and is a defeated foe; he only has as much power over us that we give him!

Let’s humble ourselves today, pray and seek GOD’S face! Our almighty GOD is bigger than any virus!

God’s Masterpiece

Encouraging Words with Pastor Bruce & Suzi Elman

Some Believers are in a battle their whole life with a sense of inferiority, which can be devastating and becomes a barrier to good relationships and also genuine contentment!

As a believer there is a way out; these feelings of inferiority can be healed. We must get into the Word (verse of the day) which tells us we are GOD’S masterpiece, He is at work in us. Would He allow His masterpiece to end up inferior – of course not – His work in you is perfect! Stop looking at others thinking you don’t measure up to them because GOD has designed you as unique. GOD is fitting you for His purpose in your life like no one else’s.

{Ephesians 2:10…For we are GOD’S masterpiece. He has created us anew in MESSIAH YESHUA so we can do good things He planned for us long ago}…

Our Creator knows the weakness of our human frame and He is always patient with us. When we fail (and we will), GOD just wants us to come to Him for forgiveness and then keep moving ahead. Remember we are a work in progress and in due time GOD will complete His masterpiece; “you!”
